Vintage Portable Paraffin Picnic/Camping Stove
This little object is an unusual Vintage Portable Paraffin Picnic/Camping Stove. It comprises an outer Steel storage box with carry handles (sea rails/fiddle rails), and a square box with plug for storing the fuel, both of which are in rusty condition.
These sit over the top of the chromed brass stove which comprises three parts; a top which screws over the top of the wick, the wick element, and a base. The base and top are in good condition but the wick probably needs replacing.
It hasn't been tested to see how or if it works and I have no idea of the manufacturer or date of manufacture but approximately 1940s/50s. It does have the picture of a saint carrying a lantern on the button and on the side of the steel box are the words REGD NO. A trawl of the internet for similar vintage camping stoves suggests that this is quite a novel design.

A very nice collectible camping stove for the collector and connoisseur!
